I GOT A TWITTER [link] add me :)

they're gonna start manufacturing polaroid film again! and in HOLLAND of all places! (sometimes) i love my country. [link]

photography is not a freaking fashion statement. i wish people would stop using the word "retro" or "indie" and just see it as it is.

a new polaroid camera (polasonic 5000 land camera) plus a pack of 600 film and a gorgeous cine camera for 11 euros in total. FLEA MARKETS KICK ASS

finally got my zenit B photos. it had a roll of 36 exposures in it but unfortunately only 11 of them worked out - everything else was exposed to light from that awful camera opening up randomly. i didn't think it opened enough for light to get in. sucks ass. yeah i don't like it. it's huge and heavy, i've been carrying it around for months, all for nothing. gonna start using my fujica again. too bad it's in another country.

the hell. who in their right minds would use 120 film? i have to pay like 50 euros for them to make prints for two of my rolls. let's not forget that each roll only has about ten exposures. it's too bad that 120 film can have such gorgeous results.

using digital lately though has made me realize just how nice film is. i don't know what it is about digital. i'm sure some people's styles work well with digital cameras. from my experience though, photos with digital cameras seem so gray and flat even with my carl zeiss lens. also the good quality of the photos are so lacking in style and personality. colors are so much nicer with film cameras and occasionally it can surprise you too. what do you think?

two sets of expired (in 2002) 600 polaroid film for only TWO euros from a clueless seller at a flea market. i don't think he even knew what they were. njarf njarf njarf.

also got an m42 lens to canon adaptor that will hopefully work on my eos 400d. the lens that came with my canon is relatively crap so i'm hoping that i will be able to take decent digital photos with my awesome lenses that came with my fujica and zenit. i don't think i'll permanently be switching to digital, but lets put the analog vs digital debate aside and accept that digital is just far more practical and economical most of the time. :P

classes are starting soon again and the summer is coming to a close. thankfully my university was too disorganized and has postponed class for another week because they couldn't do the scheduling properly. woo hoo! will try to enjoy the last week to the fullest.

what is, in your opinion, the best analog camera and why?

and

what is the best lens to use, and why?

and

what is the best 35mm film to use, and why?

mainly out of curiosity. i'm just really curious what others think. :)
